The temperature is dropping, which if you know me, means I pretty much insist on having a warm beverage with me at all times. I’ve always got coffee, tea, hot cocoa, or apple cider on hand. (Maybe even a hot toddy here and there.) Because of this, I have garnered quite the collection of mugs for all these occasions. I even have a mug wish-list! Today, I wanted to round up 15 mugs to cozy up with this season in case you have an affinity for warm beverages as well.
Over the years I’ve started to save certain mugs for certain occasions. There’s my travel mug that fits perfectly into the cupholder of my car and is spill-proof. I also have my at-home morning coffee mug that keeps my coffee warm all morning long since I like to take my time and savor it. I have a Mary Poppins mug from Disney world I like to drink tea from. And a holiday mug for hot cocoa. And a mug I share with friends who come over.
I think my love of warm beverages stems from a few things. First, I am an enneagram 4, so they help create the ambience I crave. Crisp mornings under thick, cozy blankets… Sitting next to the fireplace as it snows
outside… Cuddled up with a good book on the back patio while the breeze knocks fiery leaves from their branches… Waking up, changing into your daytime pajamas, and then getting back in bed… All of these situations are made perfect by a warm drink in-hand. (My fellow 4’s will understand this, and 7’s are looking at me like I’m crazy. I know this, because my husband is a 7.)
Next, I love the nostalgia. My mom has an old percolator she uses to make apple-cinnamon cider that we would sip on from breakfast until dinner when I was younger. I remember the sound of it heating up, and waking up to the sweet smells that permeated the house. If that’s not great enough, she also has a hot chocolate recipe that she has perfected over the years and gives out as gifts. It’s so creamy, with the perfect ratio of chocolate. At holiday parties we love to add a little Bailey’s Irish cream to the cup as
well! She graciously gave me the recipe to share with you all, so check it out below! It makes a lot, so you can easily share it with holiday guests. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Cheers,
