It’s hard to believe August has come and gone. Things are picking up with residency, and I feel like I’m settling into its fast-paced fury. I’ve got deadlines left and right, and I’m always working on the next thing on my to-do list! Thankfully, I love my job and don’t mind a bit. Speaking of things I love- I’m here to share this month’s round of things I’m loving lately! If you missed last month’s, you can read it here.

L’Oreal Anti-Redness BB Cream

It has been a HOT one this month, so between that and having a rotation at the hospital where I only have to throw on scrubs every day, I haven’t been doing a full face of makeup. Instead of using up my pricey full-coverage foundation, I’ve been reaching for something lighter.

Earlier this month, I shared a mini tutorial of my 5-minute face on my Instagram stories where I shared this BB cream, and you all have been raving about it! It’s only $8, and has been a go-to this month for a lightweight “foundation” when it’s too hot to wear a full-coverage product.

It comes out of the tube looking green, but as you rub it in, it turns into a really neutral color. (Note: If you have really fair skin, this might be a bit dark for you.) It layers really well with my other makeup products and lasts all day for me. It will be your new favorite drug store beauty product!

Velvet Hangers

Even though we moved 8 months ago, I’m still unpacking my clothes here and there, and I was desperately in need of more hangers. I have never had a closet big enough to hold all of my clothes for every season, and I’m so happy I finally do! I made the switch to these velvet hangers, and they are a dream to use! The velvet helps keep things from slipping off, and they’re extra thin so it helps create some extra space in your closet.

Chanel-esque Cap-Toe Pumps

I bought these pumps last year, and I have recently fallen in love with them all over again. They can elevate any look, and they are neutral enough to go with most of my workwear.

A cap-toe shoe is a staple piece for fall and these are a great pair to start with! They are a perfect fall transition shoe, and I’m so thrilled to pull them out of my closet again this year! The good news for you is that they are back in stock! They are leather, so they conform to your foot after a few wears, and the heel is the perfect height for all-day wear. I would recommend sizing up a half size for the best fit!

Topo-Chico Sparkling Water

I’m a huge fan of sparkling water (namely, La Croix), so when my husband told me he found something better I was a little skeptical at first. A few bottles (cases) of Topo-Chico later, and I’m obviously loving it! We love the lime and grapefruit flavors best, and we both drink one almost every evening with dinner. If you love sparkling water too, it’s worth giving it a shot!

Taylor Swift’s “Lover” Album

Taylor Swift – Lover

I’m sure you’ve already heard by now, but Taylor Swift released a new album this month, and it is (per usual) absolute gold! It took a few listens before I was completely sold on it, but I really like this one. It has tracks that are powerful, complex, catchy, and fun. I’m sure you downloaded it at midnight the day it released and already listened to it 1000x, but if not, you can download it here!

Thanks all for this month’s roundup of what I’m loving! I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. As always, thanks for being here, and thanks for reading along.

Cheers,

Laura
